In the year 2023, Ghanaians from both within the country and those in the diaspora came together to form a non-profit organization with the goal of helping themselves and the less privileged in the society. The organization, now called Authentic Classics, has become a beacon of hope for many, providing support and assistance where it is most needed.

The vision for Authentic Classics was inspired by a desire to give back to the community and support those most in need. It began with a Ghanaian woman living in the USA who wanted to make a meaningful contribution to her home country. After discussing the idea with her spouse, she felt driven to turn this vision into a reality. She then reached out to friends who shared her passion, and together, they laid the foundation for a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting underserved communities. Through outreach within their networks at home and abroad, they began brainstorming ways to create positive, lasting change.

What started as a small group of individuals is growing exponentially into a larger community of people who are all committed to the same cause. Authentic Classics now has members from all over the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia, as well as from various parts of Ghana.

Authentic Classics is dedicated to supporting individuals affected by incarceration and underserved communities across Ghana. We offer a range of impactful services, including reformative and psychosocial programs, health and medical care, skills development and educational initiatives, as well as essential support for families in need. What makes Authentic Classics truly remarkable is its ability to unite Ghanaians from all backgrounds—whether doctors, teachers, engineers, or individuals simply driven to make a positive difference. We warmly welcome everyone to get involved. Through our work, Ghanaians at home and abroad are reconnecting with their heritage and reigniting pride in their culture.

One of the greatest challenges for Authentic Classics has been fundraising. As a non-profit, we depend on donations and grants to drive our mission forward. Guided by a deep compassion and a vision for a better world, we are showing that even the smallest acts can make a profound difference in people’s lives.
